Plastic Injection Molder Realizes Time Savings

A plastic injection molder asked Colony to recommend additional automation in their packaging line to increase labor savings. Colony conducted an in-depth time study and pack station audit to determine areas of improvement. While conducting the study Colony’s team used their expert knowledge in packaging line configurations to recommend a re-arrangement of the customer’s pack lines in consideration to current equipment and personnel positioning without adding automation. The audit’s findings and change implementation increased the packing speed per unit and decreased the overall pack line footprint to exceed the customer’s expectations. The customer was thrilled to save on additional equipment which solidified their trust in Colony to offer reasonable and fair solutions for future projects.
